How many pilots do Cathay need?

Lots of expansion going on at the moment, anyone know just how many pilots they need? And in the near future?

Keep trying guys, do they hire all at the same time or do they hire a certain amount per month? Lots of luck next time!

Cheers!

probably NOT at the same time...

do they hire all at the same time
I'm not in recruiting but my guess would be that training 250 people in one hit might be a big task...

Regionals like CHQ, Skywest, ExpressJet do it all the time and they are very cost conscious, you would think an internationally acclaimed airline could handle 250 pilots in one year.

What's the times looking like these days to get a call? I'm at 3800 tt (most of it 121 jet) and still waiting....

Thanks very much for pointing that out, only that wasn't the question asked was it?

Apologies for my misunderstanding, I thought the question asked was:

Do they hire all at the same time (ie at the same time) or do they hire a certain amount per month (ie hiring 250 people over a period of time (say 12 months)).

Thanks for clearing that up.

They recruit throughout the year, at different locations, followed by second interviews in HK. Ballpark min is 2500-3000 but it does depend where you are from.

Cheers
