Meeting in HK sounds like a good idea.. for I probably wont be able to contribute much at this point.. I really need to start preparing for the interview... lol..
I will be back in HK on the 6th.. meeting on the 7th would be perfect?? when is everyone else going back??
And I dont know my way around HK too well.. so we gotta meet somewhere mainstream, easy to find...
thanks.

So that's the book they send you after stage 1??
juz going through some notes and came across some questions in which I do not know the answer to. Plz help!
What are the planes used for training?
Do you know the four forces acting on an airplane in flight?
How do airplanes stay in the air?
Any info would help!> thanks>!

Planes used in training: Grob, Cap 10, Duchess, Learjet...I think there's more...not too sure.
The four forces are drag vs. thrust and weight vs. lift.
Planes stay in the air because the on-coming air gets pushed down by the wing (with the aid of flaps and slats) and also because of the longer path explanation bascially saying that the pressure under the wing is higher than the pressure on top of the wing.
I learned it all from here.

Cheers!

I just remember another book I read
it's call The Airline Career & Interview Manual by Captain Bob Norris and Danny Mortensen
it's quite a good book, it recommends you about the dress code, interview tips and questions that airlines might ask and more...
check it out
oh i got another question about the stage 1, do they give us a break in between the tests?

no I didn't.. are we suppose to?
I went to the library and got the book Harry was talking about , Airline Pilot Technical Interview.
It seems a little too technical for Cadets, dont you think so Harry??
And how long is everyone's presentation? Mine is only a little over 2 min... lol.
Where did you guys research besides the Cathay website?
Thanks.

Thx will83,
Just got the call yesterday, mine's on the 12th, book is in the mail.
Unfortunately we won't be meeting during the interview =P
Any ideas when stage 3 is?? Gotta start thinking of excuses to get time off!
