Application question

Hello everyone. For the final interview, the paperwork for the license converstion asks for a list of all aircraft flown and it's MTWA(kg). This Maximum Total Weight Authorized..........for us US guys, is this considered the max takeoff weight or the max ramp weight(which would be just a little bit heavier). Also on a side note.....if anyone cares to chime in....as far as this EPR increasing or decreasing down the takeoff roll. I have seen both answers given and some explainations for both. Anyone know the real truth? Thanks to all in advance!

When asked the MTOW in an application form they are asking the structural limit quoted by the manufacturer that forms a limitation, so they want the TO weight given rather than the Ramp Weight.

Go and review what EPR is actually a measurement of. Once you know this then you can add the effect that increasing airspeed would have to the inlet/duct pressure ie ram effect, and you will have you answer.
Don't get confused in this answer by what an autothrottle does during takeoff. Try and analyse it assuming you can set the thrust levers in one spot and leave them fixed.

If you do a search of the Tech Log you should also find a more detailed and precise answer.
or you can try
