First year take home SO pay
Im sorry if this is a repeat thread. But I have been looking throught all the threads on this site and I am struggling to see what the pay is when you start at CX.
From what i understand houseing is basically payed for.
Is this true?
From what I can see the pay appears to be about $60K Aust?
Is this true?
I really want to know for example, how much better off are you for working for CX compared to QF, condition wise and pay?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Howiepolar.

In My first year with CX (the housing has changed a bit, but other then that conditions are the same) including housing allowance, profit share, and 13th month, but not including cash allowances I received $118,794.85 AUD (at the current exchange rate). I included housing because it is paying for my mortgage/rent, and that would come out of my pocket if I lived in Oz.
The tax is only 15%..... so are you better off here then living in SYD with QF.... well you do the math!
Remember the housing doubles after the 2nd year and base pay increases every year and there is no bull **** training pay (like other airlines)
Not to mention HKG is a great place to live.... despite the bloody monsoon at the moment. (has been raining heavily non stop for days)
