CX Letters of Rec

OK this might be a dumb question, but for those of you who have interviewed with CX: How many Letters of Rec did you bring with you to the first interview, if any? In reading all the information sent to me by CX for the interview, I am supprised at the relatively little information they require including not mentioning any LORs or the like. I have an interview 6-3 in YVR and a very short notice of interview. Any help is appreciated thanks

For my interview I took in three letters all from senior check pilots whose ride reports I included in my package as well. I also know of individuals that included 0 letters of reference and were hired. So the short answer is, the letters are not as important as your performance although a great LOR can only help you. I would draw the line at three though. Just my opinion.

I asked the line Captain I know from CX for a recommendation letter and he told me that they(CX recruiters) don't give too much attention to LORs. So I went in for my initial in YVR without one.
And guess what? I'm going to HK.

I brought two LOR's from Cathay pilots I used to work with at my previous company. I also brought my training records and line indoc reports.

The interviewers were gracious and said they would be more than happy to read the material I had brought.

After a quick read I was told that if I make it to round 2 I should bring my records with me.

My course date is August on the bus.

Good Luck

Arrow Start dates

Sorry guys, a little off topic.

Just a quick question for Grind King.

When did you pass the 2nd interview and then get your course date? Just been hearing some people from the mid Feb HK interviews have 744 slots Aug and Sep.

Any info greatly appreciated!
