HK CAD exams
Dear All,
I have an Aussie ATPL licence but have to sit 9 exams to gain my HK CPL as I have less than 500hrs multi crew to gain the HK ATPL and less than 100hrs turbine so no credits for Engines, Auto Flight, Airframes etc.
What is the best way to go about this? The airline (not the big two) has no way of helping except for Airlaw 1 and 2 and Human Performance.
I have been told Adelaide can not do it.
The exams have to be sat in HK.
Any idears.

The HK CAD exams are broadly based on the UK system, so go to
www.ebay.co.uk once in go to BUY, and punch in ATPL, you will see alot of people selling there old Oxford/Bristol/Cabair ATPL notes......buy a set of those and get studying, all the subject matter is there for the HK CAD CPL exams.I would flog you my set but they are in storage!!

There is some basic info here:
http://www.info.gov.hk/cad/english/ppl.html
The syllabi for the exams are in the back of CAD 54.
Maybe Personnel Licensing will fax you a copy (unlikely), otherwise ask HK Express to provide it.

The HKCAD requirements are: 2,800 hrs total ( only 50% of P2 allowed), 500 hrs on an civil registered multi crew aeroplane. If you meet this requirement you will need to pass Human Performance , Air Law and Performance. If you dont , only an CPL will be granted until meeting the hours requirement or passing additional exams.
