Honk Kong ID cards

Dear all,

Hope this doesn't sound somewhat silly, but how does one become a permanant Hong Kong ID card holder?

I am a British citizen and I have just had some interesting feedback form Dragon.
However one of the prereq's that I am unsure of is, 'must hold permanent Hong Kong ID card.'

Any information reagarding this/my eligibility would be really appreciated.

Regards

WB

if you arent born in HK, and your parents arent HK permanent residents either, then you will have to live in HK for 7 years before becoming eligible for the "permanent IDcard" holder. That's as far as I understand of. And this is the requirement for cadet applicants only.

Correct me anyone if I've made a mistake.

What kind of interesting feedback have you got from dragonair?
