For interview in Hong Kong the married spouses are paid for but a partner is an ID75 fare.
They want to meet the spouses and question them about Hong Kong and what they would do while their other halfs are flying.
I quoto:
"Kindly provide the following information:
1) The airport you wish to use for departure and arrival; it must be Cathay Pacific Airways on-line port
2) Current correspondence address
3) Your wife (Free) / Fiancee (ID75) are welcome to come with you, please provide his/her name as shown on travel documents. For a married couple, please fax the marriage certificate."

Spouses at DE freight F/O interview
So then if spouses are optional, not required, at the 2nd interview for DE freight F/Os, do they look down upon it if you don't bring the better half?
Getting a little ahead of the game, I know, I haven't even had the 1st stage interview yet.

It doesn't matter either way. I know of DE F/O's who got jobs both dual and solo at the interview. If you take her though you may as well stay a couple of extra days to have a look around. The problem is if you arrive the day before you will be jetlagged for the first day. And if you leave the last day it will be right after the cocktail party (which is usually but not always the last day).
