CX application Question

Does anyone know if it is critical that you indicate a specific career objective on your CV page. .... ie: Direct entry FO or SO.

Vitals:

5500 TT
4100PIC
3000 Multi
1300 Multi Turbine.............. not heavy enough.
1100 Jet total........... only 500 PIC and it's on light jets.

Technically I do not think I that I qualify for a direct entry FO for freighters.

In my cover letter to CX, i indicated my desire to joing CX as a profesisonal Pilot which I believe should satisfy stating what my career objective is.. In doing so, I am counting on the recruiting dept deciding where I will fit in best.

I have a CV neatly documented on 1 page and simply do not have room to add a career objective without cramping the info.

My question here is the following:

1).. Is it critical to indicate position sought.

2).. Do you think the recruitment gals will accept my cover letter style of stating my career objective.

3) Should I wait until I get another 500 Jet Pic so I can meet the minimums to apply for the DE FO.

I'm spinnin' my wheels and itchin' for some help from all you fellow wannabes.

Thanks

It's a slow process... get it in ASAP. Second, they will see if you qualify, and will put you in the appropriate pile.
Good luck!

Hem-O-RRhoid:

I think it is like Canadian Beech said, they will put you where they want you. I was called to interview for direct entry freighter F/O and my times are:

4975 total
4083 multi
3853 turbine - all jets, 727, 737, 757, L-1011
134 turbine PIC - all B737-800
1171 PIC - all really light piston, except for the 134 in the 737

I see no rhyme or reason to how they choose between DEFO and SO, but I am NOT complaining!!!!!!!!!!!

Hem-O-RRhoid on Uranus...

Like the others have said, send in your initial CV right away. Do not get hung up on making it pretty. They will look at your CV and use it solely for determining if your qualifications meet the minimums. And if they do, they will assign you a Personnel Reference Number (PRN) and send you the official application forms.

It's what you put on those official application forms that counts.

As for the itchin' that you mentioned, I recommend Preparation-H

Good luck.
