Question Question about re-applying CX CPP

I would like to seek advises from all of you.

I am a recent graduate who have failed in the CX CPP 2nd Interview. I now got a job which is not related to aviation at all. However, I still can't forget the dream of becoming a pilot. I would certain like to re-apply CX CPP.

In order to impress CX, what should I do before re-apply? I am thinking of taking the PPL in Canada, however, it costs me a lot and I don't know whether it's worth or not.

Please help!

I reapplied last month after completing my PPL, but i was just rejected a few weeks later. I am not sure if i reapplied too soon since i failed the interviews April last year. So all i can say is a PPL doesn't mean much for the HR department in CX.

..

Moggy is right, a PPL doesnt mean much to them. Actually, sometimes it can back fire on you. ALthough, go for a PPL is you really like flying.

Moggy, i think you need to wait until April before you can reapply again. I believe they want a full year

Hmmm so you are suggesting i send another in at april? Because i sent one in last month and go rejected, no reason given as per usual. I'm really interested in getting in, did a PPL to see what flying is really about. I find it really fun and challenging ^^.

FlyingMoggy2,

did you mean that CX rejected your application few weeks ago? or did you mean that you got rejected after a second attempt of the selection process a few weeks ago?

i would assume that avistudent is right about the 1-yr period before reapplying...please verify...

thank you!

Moggy: where did you get ur PPL? How much does it cost?

I think CX are particularly looking for CPP applicants' interests in aviation. I do think that getting a PPL is a very good sign of that. I don't understand why CX don't give u another chance!

Would re-application less that 1 year be the cause?

hey you guys, when you re-apply, please make sure you know the terms and conditions when re-applying. Re-applying at the wrong time just results in a bad impression to the company that you are not following the rules.

As far as i know. If you have failed the interviews during your last attempt, you must wait for ONE year to reapply. That is, for Moggy, please wait until one year after the date of your rejection letter since your last attempt.

If you have passed the interviews, but got rejected from the flight grading, you must wait for TWO years to re-apply.

This is what i know of, don't know if there are any changes. Correct me if i am wrong. Another suggestion is, give CX a call won't hurt. Whenever you are in doubt, don't understand why they rejected you or have any questions, just call them. The people there are pretty nice and they won't bite you!

Good Luck everyone.

Hmm by verify do u mean i should call up and ask? So since i sent in another one before the full year should i wait 1 year again? Or just wait till the full year is up? And i meant i didn't get another interview, not failed it again ^^; i hope i won't fail it again

re-apply when your full year is up, that is, April (or to be safe, May?!)

give CX a call to see whether this was the reason why they rejected your re-application. it doesn't hurt.

Hmm maybe i give them a call around May, tell them i'm really interested and just wanted to find out wether it was the full year requirement that caused the problem. Or should i call now? >_<

I had one interview with CX last year, after first interview, get a rejection letter also few days latter, my letter states that they will hold my application in file, update them with any change in address, or educational qualification, and welcome me to re-apply in one year

I'd like to know, does everyone get same thing in the rejection letter?

Thanks

By the way, if flying is really our dream, why we dont give another try even though we get a rejection letter from CX, it doesnt mean there is no any hope in the future.

I got my rejection letter after the 2nd interview. However, it doesn't mention anything about re-application, holding of application, etc.
