Dragonair Freight vs Cathay Cargo
Trying my best to size up the pros and cons of these two.
Any thoughts chaps/chapesses?
What I can deduce so far
Dragonair Pros
To fly a 747
8 days off in a row minimum
Time to command
Good bunch of guys to work with
No ultra long haul. Trips via Dubai
Pay good and with good tax advice and living abroad, great
Contactables rather than standbys
Don't touch your days off
Cons
Staff Travel out of HK only
Up to 12 day trips
Quiet rosters at the moment but could be ramped up in the future
Cathay Pros
To fly a 747
Usually 6 days off in a row
Time to command if you stay on cargo
Chance to go mainline if you wish
Staff travel
Pension contribution - flexibility
Pay as above
Good bunch of guys to work with
Choice of bases
Cons
Up to 12 day trips
Days off used occasionally
Roster stability
Where would you go if you had the choice. And that's a big if!!
Cheers FF

No surprise there Dragon!
By staff travel out of HK only, I mean that Dragon do not fly out of the UK so am I not right in thinking one would have to rely on interline? Nothing wrong with that mind considering the current employer has none!
Thanks mate!
Fluffy? JaJa?
