CX S/O 2nd interview questions
Hello Everyone,
I have been invited for my S/O 2nd interview in HK at the beginning of June and I would like to fine tune a few things before being tortured over there. All the help would be appreciated.
- Can somebody post what is the whole sim profile really about. How many people in the sim, who and what do they do? How long does it last? Is it on the 742 or 744? Any engine failure? Flight director allowed? How many approaches and what type? As far as basic flying, what is asked and expected? What are the tolerances for Airspeed and Altitude control? Any steep turns, stalls, whatever?
- The psychological test. What is it about? Any verbal reasoning, any weird question?
- The group activities. Again what is usually asked?
- Technical test. Apart from the usual aviation question, any maths, physics, weird card games or dominos.....?

First of all, good luck with you interview.
Mine was quite a pleasant experience. The people are great
and the questions are straightforward.
* No flight Director on the sim. There is you, and instructor and an observer. You are tested on your basic IF.
* Team building exercise asseses your ability to cooperate and
*english test is a simple listen to the radio call and write down what you heard.
* Panel interview is the same as with the first interview
* Cocktail party is a chance for them to get to know you as a person.
I was not sucessful in my first trip to hong kong but am looking forward to my nest attempt. They treated me so well that there is no way I'm messing it up this time.
