Base at LAX?

Base at LAX?
Hello,
Correct me if I am wrong, but there is an Lax base for CX's freighter division, right? I am interested in this option of being based in Los Angeles, but what are the chances of getting your first choice in bases and how are they assigned? I realize that one is actually hired by another airline than CX with the ability to transfer to the passenger division after a certain amount of time. When does a newhire find out what base they get assigned too? Also, what routes do the freighter guys and gals fly out of LAX?
