CX cadet program question
Hi all,
I'm a 4th year student in UWO's Commercial Aviation Management program here in London, Ontario, Canada. Looking ahead to the future (or in specific terms, 7 months down the road), the CX cadet program looks really good right about now! The only question that this board hasn't answered yet (or I might have missed) is the issue with flight hours...what to do with someone with SOME (but not many) hours?
In my univ program, we get PPL, CPL, night rating, Multi, and Multi-IFR, for a total of about 220 hours...plus a business degree. I'm a Canadian citizen (born and raised), but since my 'rents are both from HK, I got the Youth HK PIC (didn't go back to upgrade it yet). Finally, a big thing for me is that I'm also in the Canadian military (reserves), which I wouldn't like to drop unless I knew for sure I wasn't going to go back to Canada anytime soon.
So...the hours. It seemed like that CX was looking for zero hours (easier to ingrain corporate culture, ways of doing things...etc?), but how about people like me with some hours? Also, about interviews...it seems like they're only being done in certain places. Any chance of Toronto being an interview spot?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
