Dick,

Yes, the first engine to flight idle after start was there from the start: drove me nuts as I thought it a recipe for forgetting to wind up the second engine plus it was unnecessarily noisy...

I realise that this article is from The Sun, which bears little resemblance to accurate news, but it infers that it was just a gift wrapped flight, not the whole toy to keep

Skadi,

I'm fairly sure that the 109C has the same fuel cells as the 109AII, where the low fuel indicators illuminate when the fuel in each tank is approximately 30kg. The time remaining would...

Re the A109 scissor link, I think the lower arm (without the castings) is the culprit for inadvertant fitting. If you look at the photo, if it were fitted back to front, the lower section would no...

HPB,

We're both wrong, the book says 50ft  (RFM A109E 7-31 Rev 5)

Most of my IFR was on the A & AII, maybe the earlier Sperry had a different rad alt parameter?

Oxi,

Yes, and the Sperry is excellent. Only single channel for the yaw, so a little judicious pressure sometimes needed to keep the ball in the middle, but otherwise a delight to operate.

The Elite vs the Power: The rear pax seat is raked back to give more headroom, but at the loss of 60-70lt fuel capacity. Also, landing lamps built into the stub wings/undercarriage fairings, pax...

Arrow There has also been spotted a skidded Power or maybe it was a twin 119.

A picture of the skid equipped 109E was in a trade mag that I saw today, along with an article relating to a military purchase in SE Asia of 109E's. Strange look, and probably able to give a few...

Question New A109 model?

Reports from pilots attending the factory to pick up their shiny new Powers, there appears to be a "stretched" Agusta A109 undergoing trials.

About a 2ft fuselage stretch in the cabin area,...

Stinger's summary is fairly right, but I would query the fuel burn. 200lt/hr maybe, but not 200kg/hr. I consistently returned 135-140kg/hr fuel burn on a 109AII that I have operated for the past 8...
