Maybe they need to recognise that sh*t happens...

Maybe they need to recognise that sh*t happens and that maybe it's cheaper to build flexibility into your crewing than pay the disruption costs of diversions etc.

Because they'd have to pluck A/C and crew out of the EI mainline fleet, which gives you scheduling problems (see EI UK and their A330's). Can't see what any cunning IAG plan would gain them?

Yes it's the same company, JetsGo Holidays, who were offering flights from LDY and other smakller airports. Don't think much if anything happened this year. They are bonded in Spain, not in the UK....
