Never did catch up with Wardair's 727, my spotting days at Gatwick started in summer '74 but were rather infrequent.

As pointed out earlier in the thread, the window is quite flat at the bottom, might fit quite well with the Caravelle's curved...

I don't think it's a Comet but it does occur to...

I don't think it's a Comet but it does occur to me that the aircraft may well be in a turn with the camera pointing slightly upwards in relation to the aircraft, hence no apparent tailplane dihedral....

I'm tempted to suggest it's the tailplane of something like a Britannia. But as late as '73? Monarch?

Can't find an image that supports the Brit theory though...
