I am looking for INFORMED opinions re ATR 42 vs DHC-8-200, reliability, maintenance costs, performance etc for Ops in tropical regions.

High pavement loadings and shortage of cargo...

High pavement loadings and shortage of cargo space/weight are an issue with E120 and S340. 1000m strip has to be considered.

Economics, Ops, Maintenance etc.
