ATR or DHC-8

I am looking for some assistance from those who KNOW re the best machine, ATR 42 or Dash-8-200.
Economics, Ops, Maintenance etc.

All input appreciated.

Do you need to land and take off in less than 1000m? If no, what about a Brasilia or Saab?

High pavement loadings and shortage of cargo space/weight are an issue with E120 and S340. 1000m strip has to be considered.
