I've seen similar when there has been plastic in the oven that was stuck to the bottom of a rack. Smell and fumes are awful as the oven heats up.

I hope the crew recover quickly :)

I Have a similar cable on my video card (8600GT) and it is for the audio for the HDMI port on the card. I think newer ones dont need/have this cable.

The other end is plugged into the motherboard....
