I vaguely recall a Hawaiian 76 RTO, I think In manila a few years back.... Cleared the runway and a short time later all fuse plugs melted. Reject was around 90 kts.

At no stage in a Boeing manual , FCTM or QRH does it imply to ask ATC for a airspeed reading.
It does however , merely advise quailfied crews that ATC radars may be utilised for a ground speed...
