Also, out of curiosity, with those early model JT9D's that had the 'wet' option for take-off, what reduction in take-off length did that mean? Was it used every time...

QF 747-200 engine variants?

According to aussieairlines.org, early QANTAS 742’s had JT9D-7A’s. Then later models before the Rollers came along had the -7F(W) engines.
But airfleets list the Qantas -238’s having the -7J’s. As...

I've done the LAX - AKL - MEL route with ANZ and transversing AKL was a breeze. :confused:
