I have today been told Cardiff Heliport will be reopening with a new landlord very soon.

Was there today and can confirm it will be closed by BIH on 30th Nov 2014.
Cardiff Council should pull the lease. BIH still have 18 years left but with no one there its a white elephant. Shame!!

Helicopter friendly hotels.

Another very good spot is the Miskin Manor off J34 of the M4. Colin the owner is a Pilot and loves visitors on his helipad.

I fly with an iPad Mini with SkyDemon loaded and it's the dog's bollocks!
I also have an iPad Retina but it's a bit too big when mounted as it shakes about a bit too much.
