In normal conditions, the green and yellow HYD PPs are in auto.The blue is in stby. The function of all is fundamentally the same. Any reason then for the changed nomenclature ?

Good observation Solipsis.Quite the same as what I noticed as well. Not very much in line with the books though.Also, did you check the auto trim approaching a stall in alternate law ?

If I understand right,in Normal law,the sequence approaching alpha floor would be : Autopilot disconnects,pitch trim freezes and then alpha floor kicks in. What about in alternate law ?

In normal and alternate laws,when exactly does the auto pitch trim freeze when increasing alpha ? The manuals as far as I could glean,only mention the autopilot disconnecting at alpha prot +1.

I'm not sure the pitch up due to engine failure on an MD 11( low wing,underslung engines)would be a consequence a higher than CG thrust line. However I am willing to be corrected.

Cant understand this .High wing mounted engines I assume produce a thrust line that lies higher than the CG.
So how does the nose pitch up on opening thrust ?
