Lately I've seen a couple of companies asking for time on type after linecheck or with linecheck passed. Maybe to avoid guys that paid to work on the type?

And no, I'm not against line training....

I would say that the simulator time has been more about ifr-flying than the 700 hours logged in real flight.

No requirements regarding education...if you can read and count you are ready for training.

It would be a very different matter if we talked about shortage...

I don't think that the flight schools will have no one to train,...

Actually I think that it is just a matter of calling them. I don't think that they intentionally keeps these figures a secret.
