the last pilot scholarship program was run at the end of 2001...there were plans to re-introduce it with something meagre like 5 hours, but I don't know if this has progressed

Re the ghost at RAF Cosford, I heard a while ago that it was the Bombadier of a certain aircraft, although I know not of his fate, he is alleged to be heard pressing the bomb release switches......

As I understand it, the guy in the front works the weapons systems etc, and the back-seater flies. However, both people are trained to do both jobs, i.e. the WSO/NAV also needs to be a qualified...
