I live 35 minutes from DSA but have to travel to Manchester to take a regular flight, so I agree about the catchment area being a bit of a red herring!

Force 10 winds at IOM a few weeks ago caused our 8.40 flight from Manchester to be delayed a little. The usual ATR72 was replaced by a Dash 8 - no announcement but I guess that this caused the delay....

I'm only guessing, as information about the root cause of the crisis is being held back, but with the disruption being so widespread it looks to me like it's more than just the IOM routes.

I travelled with Links Air today, Doncaster-IOM. Nothing to complain about, all went well.
The third passenger on this route (ever!) was wheelchair-bound and seemed to have no trouble.

Waffler - that's true; the people with seat reservations would have to be called on board first. But you can sit down and wait until the gate opens rather than join in the crush, so it's beneficial.
