Menzies now covering all BA T1 ramp work at LHR?

....is this true?

Never thought I'd see anything other than BA liveried kit on BA aircraft at T1.

Is this the start of the demise of BA self handling on the BA ramp at LHR. T5? Is that next?...

So, with BMI being sold to IAG, how does that affect Menzies?

....I reckon the BMi work must be about a third of the Menzies workload.

Any news on Menzies at LHR reducing their workforce?

Other than BA at LHR and maybe AF/KLM with Cobalt.....

...is there any other airline that has it's own ramp operation, ie staff equipment, 3rd party work etc?

I'd heard that BA ran out of deicing fluid and were very stretched in terms of deicing rigs as well. Can't confirm either, but with an operation the size of theirs, they may have been caught...

Menzies LHR

Hearing strong rumours of an almighty carveup of the old Aviance by new owners Menzies. If true, it's taken them less than a fortnight to put in a restructure. So much for Tupe.:eek:

...aviance currently only handle SAA, BMI, LH, Asiana and Transaero.

SAA is under tender so that will probably go to Menzies or United. Menzies handle El Al and US Airways and have done since...

Almost correct - Aviance don't provide any service to Swiss. Currently, it's BD, LH, SA OZ and UN....:ok:
