The Carvair was also fitted I believe with the tail unit from a DC-7 as the rudder needed enlarging, always interesting in a crosswind with the large hump!!

Surely it is not an issue if there is only 1 key to fit all if there was a bolt in the cockpit to lock the door, anyway I could imagine the outcry if the flight was delayed due to previous crew...
