I would strongly recommend that you finish your study, I don't think Emirates takes in the fact that you are studying or not, some people come to Dubai thinking it's gonna last a contract and leave...

The delays might really be the reason, a lot of us went for conversion to A380 and are now doing stand by duty because there are no flights to put us on ! Hopefully Airbus will get their act together...
