With regards to Ava Hannah on the other discussion thread, why do BA employ South Africans (I assume she is)? Surely BA would give preference to UK and EU nationals over other nationalities?

I have no sympathy for crew who are commuting...

I have no sympathy for crew who are commuting from Johannesburg and have lost their staff travel for going on strike. They are definitely not suffering financially and probably not on a full-time...

I just travelled from IAH to LHR and noticed that one of the crew read some piece of paper (not newspaper or magazine) during take off and landing. Is that "allowed"?
