Why don't the EU set up a fund for 'act of God' events?! The airline cover passenger costs and the EU refund the airline at a later date.... Tax every person that travels commercially say 10cents...

That sounds a bit mad to me... Dub and Belfast are only 1.5hrs drive apart or bus ride with aircoach. Why not LGW-DUB-wherever... That way you can have the A330 take the A320 LGW-DUB load if not...
