USA FAA Max Rate of Descent?

I know that the UK AIP states that the max rate of descent in the London / Scottish FIRs is 8000fpm, but is there anything similar in the USA?

When you say '2 night' do you mean 2 nights at the destination plus one night flying back to the UK?
I realise that this depends on the destination, but for most of USA and 'the west'...
