Don't know why you can't fly gliders. There is no requirement in the UK to have a licence to fly gliders until April 2020. If you already fly gliders in the UK you can continue as you are till then....

In my case (28 years service) my COPE estimate is £90.53 a week. So I assume that if I supposedly achieve the £155.65 a week state pension, they will then deduct the COPE figure. Ouch!!

Saturdays and Sundays were classed as working days back in the early seventies. The old 48 hr pass was supposed to be used if you wanted a weekend off.
