For info, the Equiniti helpline is saying this years Advice of Payments for uplifted pensions will take up to 30 May to be posted….much later than the norm I suspect due to the reworked figures...

Boeing have different military and civic fleets operating which will require different servicing infra, so military 700s will be serviced at Lossie with RW (Apache etc) at BD.

To clarify, Tonkas to ISK was only ever one of the options when Dave was coming to Lossie....and simply to make room for what was 4 F35 sqns and an OCU having to relocate the Tonka OCU anyway...but...

Think it something like 50/50 between likely increase and stay same/decrease....but some of the increases could be eye watering..appeals process pretty straightforward and all on CAAS letters going...

(Follow-on to #38...)

IBN 13/15 revealed that the over-50s have lost any right to 6-mnth PVR and now need RoS 30 yrs+, with relevant AP 3393 Vol 1 changes etc

Totally see logic if you accept...

Gents,

Heads up that the 6 month PVR now only applies to RoS 30 yrs+, and has been removed for age 50+ in toto, irrespective of any NEM acceptance.

We've still got 3 FL GR4 sqns, all at Marham, plus the OCU at Lossie, caveat current plans to transfer II(AC) across to Tiffies next Apr.

Anyone who actually thinks the basing team will have any say whatsoever in the final decision does not know how the MoD works...they will be ordered to make the data 'fit' to justify our Airships...

Apart from Kinloss being discounted over Lossiemouth as a JSF base due to the bird-strike risk...only one JCA engine as against Nimrod's 4.....I don't think MAA will overlook that.

Agreed, Harrier now looks set til 2018, to be replaced by JSF - but the overlap in Harrier/JSF numbers looks mighty thin (IIRC JSF trickles in from 2016) for whatever state the carrier(s) are in.
