Both in the Middle East, both on B412.
1st was mounted in the pax cabin next to the 1/4 door, it inflated in flight, quite slowly, but still caused problems...

412 is one piece (casting I think).
212 is 2 pieces + a bolt & spacer between them.
Also they pivot differently on the swashplate support.

I would say he is leak checking the forward end of the Main Drive Shaft,
or the oil seal on the Transmission Input Coupling.

I don't see a close call myself.

I find that hard to swallow, every company I worked for, if an airtest is required for engineering reasons, the engineer flies in it....
