Melbourne airport delays, why?

Noticed this week its been predominately N/S runway operations and alot of inbound flights delayed as a result.
Today I have seen flights landing to the east, thats got to be pretty rare!

LAN 787 in storage at Abu Dhabi

Hi,
Flying through Abu Dhabi last week i noticed a LAN787 covered in dust and mothballed (windows/engines/undercarriage all sealed up).
What's the go with this bird???...

EK407 2 missed approaches and diversion, why?

Curious to know if anyone can elaborate why Emirates A380 flight EK407 AKL-MEL had 2 missed approaches and then diverted to SYD.
There was a wind change but other flights, including Singapore A380...
