Why the whole course? Didn't you do your CFI renwal after 2 years? You can read about the reduced requirements in the lasors. I'm in a bit of a hurry now but I'll look for the reference page tonight.

You have to do the course. However, the ''course requirements'' are reduced. Normally you need 30hrs flight and 125hrs ground. When you are the holder of an ICAO FI license the flight time is reduced...

Ofcourse they favour those with turbine time and an IR.. even more if they have offshore experience and 2000+hrs. But I know of quite a few guys that did the IR with somewere between 200 and 700...

Why would it take that long to fly 15hrs? I know the CAA can be slow at times but it would be strange to fly less then 15hrs a month when attending full time.

Outside Europe is HAI the only helicopter flight school allowed to teach JAA under the CAA.
