No, it is not true. You MAY sleep at the airport as well.
The thing is, RyanAir does not pay you for the time you are not airborn, so it is very much up to you, what you do with you "spare time"...

It's JAR OPS standard (JAR OPS 1, Part S) 1.1255 that requires keeping the door shut and locked while the engines are running. :}
