Pilots with over 2000 hrs have problems getting a job in Africa, it is not only about flying but more about workpermits and License conversions....in short they dont like expat pilots in Africa

Hi, you will need to do a written conversion test and a Type rating, you will also need a workpermit to be able to fly commercialy and that is the hard part.....

I dont see a problem to ferry an airplane with your license...but what about your flighthours? I know there are many insurances that request 300 hrs on type if you call the flight a ferry flight.

I used to ferry for an other company, i have seen her once in Bangor when we both were on our way to Africa. Sad story....hope there is some news soon.

Started my PPL when was 38, its all possible. Will be harder to find a job, i am flying as freelance ferry pilot, not the best, but a lot of adventure
