There are many FOs from HK and Macau who are working for Donghai and other Chinese airlines as well, but technically they are still from China. The companies might call them international or foreign...

an ATPL exam mainly based on the FAA question bank (MET, Air Law, General Knowledge, Aerodynamics, 737/320 performance charts), have added more questions from the JAA and CASA to make it harder...

Captain doors are open, but you can forget about the FOs. Yes the opportunity opened once for private airlines but it is nearly impossible to find a FO position with state-owned airlines.

No problem...most important is being able to...

No problem...most important is being able to communicate, not necessarily on paper. But it would be a most added advantage as certain ops manuals and QRH stuff are in chinese.

Right you are Crossbleed. Although this would not be the first time expats are coming through these neck of the woods. There are many foreigners flying for Shenzhen Airlines in southern China....
