It's been a couple of years since I was last there but I have previously flown a DA40 and flown to the Bahamas with Pelican at North Perry. May be worth giving them a call.

As stated above it will be your intercom squelch settings and not your headset that is causing the problem.

A very nice camp site with very clean, modern facilities, right next to Perranporth. Access via the perimeter road at the south-western end of the airfield, literally two minutes walk from the tower.
