Issue with DC H10 13.4??

Hi everyone,

I have just started flying lessons at YSBK, Australia. As recommended by my instructor, I have purchased a new pair of David Clark 13.4's. The quality of the phones seem very high, but I have an issue with the mic; when talking in the cockpit to the instructor, I will start saying something, but there is a slight delay when my voice kicks in (the first one or two words don't go through). Is this an avionics issue with the A/C (C152) or is it the PNR on the headset. Also what is this fix for this? Thanks all

It may have to do with squelch setting on the radio. it takes a few milliseconds before the gate opens....

Perhaps one reason why BA captains are so famous for their calls starting with:

AAAHHH, Heathrow Approach.... etc

As stated above it will be your intercom squelch settings and not your headset that is causing the problem.

I've used the same headset as you for over 3 years and never encountered your fault. They are very reliable.
Happy flying.
