Southends TODA is just 1,799 and both Ryanair (737-800) and easyJet (A320) operate from there...

Either easyJet or Jet2 could possibly come in with up to 7/8 based aircraft which would be a game changer. An 8 aircraft base would provide 2m seats which is about what they are projecting by 2027,
