Then with his qualifications and experience he will be well placed to advise Air France on what actions his former employers took after the 747 incident out of LAX - the one that declared a mayday going into EGCC as they didn't understand the fuel system and the cross feed checklists had been changed - won't comment on the FAA threatening to ban them from USA airspace.
Also the point in the 777 accident with the post crash fuel loss - again checklist failure.

I suspect that the heavyweight membership of the inquiry (eminent safety professionals), indicates a logical corporate move as well as a top level look at safety. Thus from this aspect I would not expect to see any details.

Perhaps it’s of interest that several of the members represent the very latest ideas on human factors in safety, safety management, and error; Holnagel, Woods, and Paries. This signals a very modern understanding or intent, more likely both, to regain or maintain control of safety.
In this respect I would anticipate that the practical safety activities would go well beyond the inquiry, and in this we might see the results of meaningful action in Air France and the Air France group.
Perhaps this is something that other operators should take note of assuming that they have a learning culture.
