Derated / Assumed Thrust Departures
Educate me.

Look in the Tech Forum, this is a common subject.

Guppy you live in a world of internet forums...where the ability to hide, the tempo, perfectly suits your style of banter...in an airport lounge...you can't run away...you would have to sit there and answer the question right in front of the line guys, other pilots...and using the Socratic method...I, you, and everyone else would quickly and positively come to the inevitable conclusion about your aviation knowledge.
This thread is about De Rated departures...your certainly welcome to take the bait and explain to everyone why you would put 200 passengers father down the runway in order to save some money on engine overhauls.. Come on Mr. Expert...explain the logic of this. |
It is not De Rated, it's derate. As in, an alternative thrust rating. Lots of good reasons--better runway performance thru reduced Vmcg, for one. But, you don't understand performance, are not willing to learn; I'll stop here and let you use SEARCH

Galaxy..if I want to call it a de-rated thrust departure, assumed thrust departure, and reduced power departure, or a 'I am a robot who just doesn't want to lose his job departure'
It's all the same...now stop dancing around the subject, stop evading...bring all that aeronautical expertise and show me why these types of ops make sense to you guys. |
Well actually there is a big difference between derated and flex (assumed temperature).
|
Do I hear the sound of furious googling?
|
Well, johns7022,SinglePilotCaptain, ssg, or whatever name you want to go by, do you understand the role Vmcg plays in take-off performance? There is a huge difference between derate and reduced power, I'd suggest doing some searching, first.

Well I am still waiting.....everyone run off?...where are all the experts to discuss this topic?
Just dodging? Just parries? Calling the mods to get me kicked off? Little girls..... |
Use the SEARCH function, first.
|
Galaxy....again another impressive post, that really sums up in its simplicity.....a solid picture of your aviation knowledge.
|
G'day yar dill. You could start by reading the thread you started in your ssg guise.
http://www.pprune.org/tech-log/32732...offs-safe.html Mods, I think you could close this one. Plowing an old paddock an all that. |
No don't close the thread..Brian is going to elaborate on Assumed thrust departures...two days and he hasn't said anything...we are waiting Brian?
To much Fosters today? |
Johns7022
Do us all a favor and review the linked thread above...it pretty clearly shows everyone just how ignorant of basic performance and certification you are. I reviewed it, was reminded of a few things from experts and how supercilious you are. GF |
Brian is going to elaborate on Assumed thrust departures I'll just call you out on any of your crap that I know to be bull****e. |
Your diligence to the truth is admired, but this could be a never-ending task.
GF :ugh: |
We can probably, with some benefit, retire this thread at this stage.
