Question CAT II App ????

Can Anyone help me? I am looking for the Jep page that deals with Cat II Approaches, My question is - Can you do a Cat II App if the Vis is Above your minimums but you do not hold a Cat II Approach certificate? All Iam looking for is the document where it is written??? Please Help

Try contacting your local Flight Standards District Office and asking them, they will be able to also give you the regulation number.

Assuming that you are in Europe, general principles of Cat 2/3 approaches are in Jeppesen Europe Manual ,Air Traffic Control Section, Page 601 onwards. You will also find that each specific approach plate depicting Cat 2 procedures has a note 'Special Aircrew and Aircraft Certification required'. As to whether you can fly the Cat 2 procedure using Cat 1 minimums, there would appear to be nothing against it .For further bedtime reading JAR OPS 1 subpart E is a guaranteed cure for insomnia.
