Highlights from the NTSB hearings about the DCA midair

My buddy and I sat through the 30+ grueling hours of the NTSB hearings last week. We posted it on our podcast page, but since I don't want this to read like just a pitch to listen to my podcast, I came away from it all with a newfound respect for how the NTSB conducts one of these. What was really sad though was the overwhelming sense of inevitability that floated around those three days. As a long-time professional pilot and a former controller, I also learned plenty about the FAA and the US Army. Not much of it was good, though.

All this said, if you want to hear some harrowing tales about operating in some intense Class B airspace, head over to Jetwhine.com and give some of it a listen.
