ATC Actions in case of emergency

I realized that SIM instructors have a tendency to complicate things when they play the role of ATC, giving frequency changes, talking too much, not providing essential information like weather and nearest suitable airports..etc.
Pilots are supposed to take care of everything, like fire engines ready, inform medical services, etc...
Of course I'd like to give ATC information about what's happening specially things they might not know about the emergency or consequences after landing but 99% of my simulators the ATC role of the instructor is far from real.
There's a document... "Guidelines for Controller Training in the Handling of Unusual/Emergency Situations" that's quite interesting and I encourage simulator's instructors to read it carefully, specially if they wanna do a Line Orientated Evaluation exercise according to a real situation:
