Question is Squak, were Wyvern correct in their decision to give Avjet a "clean bill of health" before this report was published?

Quite astonishing that these folks would attempt this type of approach. Having flown in and out of Aspen many times, I have a very simple policy to manage risk. No night operations, ever. Arrival and departure weather: VFR from the MEA to the airport. Conduct a "special airport briefing" concerning the airrival, discussing exactly who does what when during each phase of the visual to include contingency planning for all types of abnormals/escape plan. (Much more detail than your usual briefing.)

I know this is primarily a European site, but it would be interesting to see if any Air Wisconsin pilots would care to comment on ASE operations. They do a smashing job up there with the 146.
